Rebecca W. Carman, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City.
Ms. Carman specializes in working with artists and creative people. She has also managed programs, developed resources and created documentary projects in the areas of childhood trauma, conflict resolution, sexual assault, and homelessness. She has worked for the National Center on Family Homelessness, The Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, and Mercy Corps, the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and continues at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, NY.
Ms. Carman was born in 1965 in Newport, R.I. and grew up in the Berkshires in Massachusetts. She attended Harvard University and the Smith College School for Social Work.
